25	26 MONDAY, Sep. 26th / Students will use Chromebooks for class this week. Lesson for this week: The Weather in Spanish / El Tiempo en Espanol. Watch the videos to review Weather vocabulary in Spanish. Take notes from the videos. Go over Spanish Weather Expressions that use the verb “To make” / “Hacer” Ch. 3 pp.120-121 (Textbook). Review the conjugation of the verb “Hacer" on pg. 287 (Textbook). Go over Weather Expressions that use the verb “To have” / “Tener” Ch.9 pp. 312-313 (Textbook). Review the conjugation of the verb “Tener” on pg. 221 (Textbook). For the Weather in Spanish we can also use the verb "Estar". Review the conjugation of the verb “Estar" on pg. 192 (Textbook). Finally, we can use "Hay" to express Weather. Reminder: "Hay" has different meanings (Go to pg. 72 from the Textbook to see the meanings). Complete the following exercises from the Textbook to practice the material covered in class: Complete exercise A. ¿Qué tiempo hace? pg.123 and exercise B “La ropa y el tiempo” pg.124 to practice Weather Expressions with the verb “Hacer”. Complete exercise A ¿Como están? pg.315 and exercise A ¿Que tienes? pg.320 to practice Weather Expressions with the verb “Tener”. HOMEWORK: Complete the exercises from class today. Bring a small poster board to class on Wednesday, Sep. 28th. Create a chart with all Definite and Indefinite Articles in English and Spanish. All charts should have a neat appearance. The size of the chart should be large enough to clearly show all the information needed. Use a ruler to complete both charts. Watch the video during class that explains the tradition of the "Day of the Dead" / “Día de los Muertos” in Mexico. Students must take notes from the video and share the information with the class (Class discussion). Go over the information from the handouts with important facts and vocabulary about the “Day of the Dead" tradition. Go over the vocabulary words and pictures about "Day of the Dead" (See the attachments). Find out specific information about the History of the "Day of the Dead" (Chromebook / Online Information). Write the information on a piece of notebook paper. Read and answer the questions for the “Day of the Dead” assignment posted on Google Classroom. REMINDER: The information about “Day of the Dead” tradition will be on a later test.
