The test for this lesson will be next week Thursday, Jan. 12th. 11:59 PM	6 FRIDAY, Jan. 6th / Learn information about El Día de Los Reyes - Three Kings Day in Latin America, which is celebrated on January 6th to honor the Three Wise Men (Los Tres Reyes Magos). Latin America and Spanish-speaking countries observe Three Kings Day, also known as Día de Los Reyes Magos. It is an integral part of the Christmas season, culminates in the 12 days of Christmas, and occurs on January 6. It’s a Christian tradition remembering the wise men’s gifts of gold, incense, and myrrh to Jesus. Most kids open their gifts on January 6 rather than on December 25. This tradition suggests saving some presents to open on January 6. For example, for the celebration of Jesus’ birth, children wait for Los Tres Reyes Magos instead of Santa Claus. Complete the assignment from the worksheet provided in class. HOMEWORK: Study Spanish Ordinal Numbers from 1st to 10th & Spanish Numbers from 100 - 1,000 and One Million. Objectives: To express likes and dislikes. Rules for the verb Gustar and Encantar pg. 70 (Textbook). Also go over pages 38 to 45, 50, and 51 from the textbook. Learn how to ask and answer the question "what do you like to do?" in Spanish. Learn how to make affirmative and negative sentences using the verb "To like" or "To Love". Watch the videos to review material. Complete exercise TEMA (pg. 77 from the Textbook) to practice the material. Translate the English captions from the pictures into Spanish. Then answer the three questions at the bottom of the page using complete sentences in Spanish. REMINDER: Spanish Gustar-Encantar Project is due Thursday, January 19th. Directions for the Project were posted on Google Classroom last Friday, Jan. 13th. Go over the directions for the Project one more time. Work on the Project at home. Look for real pictures about things and/or activities that you like to do. If you print the pictures, make sure they are colored pictures (Get 5 different colored pictures). Remember that you must be included in all the pictures (Read directions carefully).
