Lesson of the Day
-Pass out syllabus/read over
-Discuss One Word Free Write
-Purpose of it: Will do every day at the beginning of class to get your creativity flowing
-Write as much as you can based on the one word on the board
-10 minutes tops
-Must fill full page/handwritten
-Worth 20 points each… Will get one each day… If all completed as instructed, will earn a 100 at
the end of the week
-Complete their first One Word Free Write!
-Pass out fill-in-the-blank study guide… Go through PP/discuss the definition of creative writing, the types of CW, and the characteristics of CW. Once done, show me, and if every blank is correctly filled out, there’s your first 100.
TUESDAY - FRIDAY

-”The 5 Senses Challenge”
-Pass out explanation to each student and discuss.
-Complete the “challenge”!
