Pillow Academy welcomes David Magee, award-winning columnist andauthor. He is the author of Dear William: A Father’s Memoir of Addiction,Recovery, Love and Loss, a Publisher’s Weekly national bestseller, and otherbooks including How Toyota Became #1 (Penguin), a bestseller in India, and anaward-winning columnist, and TED speaker. David has been a daily newspaperpublisher, small business owner, a regular guest on CNBC, and once hosted anational cable TV program, The David Magee Show. He is currently the Directorof Institute Advancement at the University of Mississippi—the role he startedafter helping create and launch The William Magee Center for AOD and WellnessEducation at the university, named for his late son who died of a drugoverdose. The Magee Center focuses on substance misuse education and supportwithin the university and the effort is about to grow beyond, into theuniversity’s next standalone national institute—the Magee Institute for StudentWellbeing. He lives in Oxford, Mississippi.

David will speakto students in grades 6-12 on Tuesday morning. He will be at Pillow thatafternoon to speak with parents and sign copies of his book, Dear William.Please join us in the Craig at 5:30 p.m.
